Question 1

Which kulfi flavors does Bhimas Pure Veg offer?

Accepted Answer

The kulfi menu lists five flavors: mango, chocolate, pistachio, strawberry, and malai. Malai, pistachio, and mango are the traditional choices, while chocolate and strawberry are newer additions adapted from ice cream. Ordering two or three different flavors is a simple way to compare the traditional and modern styles at the same table.

Question 2

Is gulab jamun served hot or cold?

Accepted Answer

Traditionally it is served warm, soaked in syrup, while rasmalai is served chilled in sweetened milk. How a restaurant serves each can vary, so it is worth asking how Bhimas serves them if the temperature matters to you. Both are listed on the dessert menu, gulab jamun in a portion of four and rasmalai in a portion of two.

Question 3

Are Indian desserts vegetarian, and do they contain dairy?

Accepted Answer

Kulfi, gulab jamun, and rasmalai are traditionally vegetarian, but they are built on milk, so they all contain dairy. Bhimas Pure Veg is a fully vegetarian restaurant, so none of its desserts contain meat. Some also contain nuts, such as pistachio, so mention any allergy when ordering. If you are avoiding dairy or have a dietary restriction, ask about specific ingredients before ordering.

Question 4

Can I order Indian dessert online for pickup in Cumming, GA?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can order online for pickup at the Cumming location, where the current menu is listed. Kulfi is frozen, so it is best eaten soon after pickup, and gulab jamun is at its best when it is still warm, so timing the pickup close to when the order is ready helps.
